The Rule of 3-in-1 / 1-in-3... and not failing on the street

In our Gyokko-Ryu (I'm not saying "school" because that word comes nowhere close to what the Japanese word, "ryu" actually points to)...
...there is a double-sided principle that I simply call: 'The 3-in-1 / 1-in-3 Principle' that points to an ability where:
You should be able to find 3 parts / aspects / etc. of any
technique, in order to break it down and work on each of those "pieces" in order to make that technique as strong as possible, and...
You should be able to see 3 or more techniques which operate on the same principle, so you don't have to memorize (as my 5 year old grandson says) "a bajillion, gazzilion, million" techniques and names. ;)
I have learned, and discovered by trying to prove my teachers and this system wrong over my 40+
years... that holding onto one "official" way to do things runs contrary to the art of Ninjutsu itself. Yes... it's amazing what you discover when you don't just take things, all starry-eyed about the perfection of your chosen style, on blind faith... or make the decision to bale at the first sign that "it doesn't make sense," or the so-called experts over at Bullsh!to-itis says that your art is fake (can you smell an agenda?).
This goes especially true for me as a
teacher, especially in trying to help serious students training for real-world self-protection to not just learn the lessons... but in adapting HOW those lessons are delivered so that these student's can learn "faster." After all, we don't know when an attack, or other needs for these skills will arise... so, sooner is better than later - at least when it comes to understanding and having strong basics.
That's the logic behind a book I wrote several years ago where, in
it, I use the Gyokko principle I talked about, combined with something called a mnemonic device - a memory technique designed to help you remember something (someone's name, information, technique, etc.) faster, by associating with something that's easier to remember.
The book is called: "3 Massive Mistakes... Even Smart Students Make That Can Keep Your Worried About Surviving an Attack!"
Yes, it has the words Bujinkan Ninjutsu" in the subtitle as well, but it's really for anyone making these mistakes, wants to avoid making them, and what to do instead.
To be clear, it's definitely not for everyone -
especially those who need a book on this art (or any other art or self-defense system) and it's principles to use certain words, ancient Japanese/Chinese/Korean terms, and/or pictures of fighting and kanji before they'll even read it...let alone take it seriously.
So, if that's you... this isn't going to be something you're going to want anyway.
But, if it is (and why wouldn't you at least want to look at the information before doing what the trolls we
all hate do, and dismiss it outright?)... you'd at least have a different perspective to consider, and the information should you ever want to actually take a serious look later on, right?
Anyway... I wanted to tell you about it, and the fact that you can grab it now while it's still a fa-ree digital resource, and before it gets repositioned with the other changes I'm making with how I offer things, what I'll be offering moving forward... and who I'll be limiting that to
(both for my own sanity, and because there are just certain students who I'm a good match for).
So... if you want to take a look at what you'll learn inside, and grab it if it seems like something you could use... then here's the link to the info page on the website: https://onlineninjaacademy.com/3-massive-mistakes/
That's it for now. I look forward to training with you again very soon!
