This Week's Ninpo-Mastery Insights:
"Mastering Control Before Conflict"
Hi ,
As we wrap up another week of training and
growth, let's reflect on the key lessons we've explored and ensure you're equipped with all the resources to enhance your practice.
Key Insights from This Week:
Winning Before the Fight Begins: We've delved into strategies that allow a Ninja to control the outcome of a confrontation before it even starts. By mastering subtle cues and psychological tactics, you can influence an opponent's perceptions and decisions,
effectively neutralizing threats without physical engagement.
The Power of Ninja no Hachimon & Key Elements from the Togakure-Ryu's Ninja Juhakkei: Understanding and utilizing these elements can significantly impact an adversary's mindset. More than just "interesting" lists from Ninja history, or outdated skill sets, the 8 mandatory areas of study within the Ninja no Hachimon (8 Gates of Ninjutsu Training) and those contained within the Ninja Juhakkei (18
Discipline / Training areas) contain the principles and concepts that allow us to do more than win a physical fight.
Just like MMA is an attempt within the competitive fight world for contestants to fill in the gaps left by most systems for winning a one-on-one fight in that realm, the Ninja's traditional frameworks give him or her the skills, tools, and techniques to handle any threat, danger, or extreme survival situations... be it physical, psycho-emotional, or even
battling the demons and limitations we carry inside that can and do get in our way.
But Ninpo is much more than a mere fight system. And, contrary to popular belief it's not something you can throw together with this or that because it looks right. It's not the Ninja's techniques and cool weapons, or even the black suit and stealth techniques that make a Ninja and "Ninja." It's how he or she thinks, looks at themselves and their world, and approaches problems
and pressure... it's how we LIVE that makes you a Ninja or...
...something else!
