Easy is Hard?
Published: Sun, 04/14/24
There's a saying that "easy is hard." Not sure if you've ever heard it, but this simple statement points to two sides of the same lesson... regardless of the area of study or mastery your pursuing.
That means that it applies just as equally to the fields of carpentry, dance, and painting (as examples)... as it does to our martial arts training.
Just like we have a saying in my instructor training program that everyone does two things:
1) they procrastinate, and...
2) they quit.
So, one of the jobs an instructor has, if they want a chance at keeping a student around long enough to actually help them (and not just feel good about showing someone how much they know)...
...is to get their students to 'procrastinate quitting...'
...everyone wants "easy" in two ways.
They want the lessons to be easy, and...
...they want to be able to do the skills they're developing easily.
Makes sense, right?
But, just as with the instructor candidate learning how to produce that simply stated outcome... so too is making things "easy," difficult. There's a lot of work, more than a lot of people are willing to do, to get to the point where what we're doing looks, feels and, IS... easy.
If you're still with me, and someone working on the Seishin (knowledge and understanding) side of training, and not just "cool moves," here's what I mean:
A student may encounter a lesson about something like the Ninja's sanmitsu ('triple secrets of success'), and get the simple translation of: "Thought, Word, and Deed" and, because that sounds "simple..."
...assume it's also "easy," and that they'll get it right out of the gate and just jump in and run with it.
Others, because it sounds simple and easy... dismiss it as, "Duh, everybody knows that," and then do nothing else with it.
But, those who actually lift the hood, so-to-speak - those who are actually learning it - working on understanding it as a deep level - a level where it's not just something else we've memorized and can regurgitate on cue - very quickly realize that... this is harder than it looks or sounds.
They will encounter what seems to be contradictions and confusion... while trying to figure it out (Kufu - another of the 8 basic study and skill areas).
But, they trust the process, knowing that the more they study, practice, and understand...
...the more the hard gets easy.
That's what happened to Erin, one of my Ninjutsu students who's also taking her Mikkyo study seriously and creating massive changes in every area of her life.
And, I believe that same confusion and realization that, what looks easy at first glance...
...what she thought she understood (I mean, she's has Ph.D for God's sake!), isn't as easy as it looks..
...is affecting a lot of others who have been trying to apply this ancient formula for success.
That's why I'm doing an open, no cost webinar tonight at 7pm eastern on one aspect of the sanmitsu formula that, if not translated properly and the "HARD" worked through...
...the "EASY" will never come.
There's no cost for this training, but you must register to reserve your spot and get the Zoom class access details. Register here: https://onlineninjaacademy.com/sanmitsu-confusion/
And, since everything starts with the "thought" part of the formula... the crux of the training will focus here.
Again, this is a f.r.ee training, but you do need to register to get the Zoom access details.
Curious? I hope so, because whether or not you buy into this "Mikkyo stuff," it's not only in everything we do but, like gravity, it works regardless of your belief about it! After all... as a Ninja why wouldn't you want to use everything you could to increase your advantage, and guarantee your success in whatever area of life you're working on?
Again, we go live with this CLOSED-DOOR TRAINING, at 7pm (1900hrs) later today via Zoom.
Hope to see you on the training. CLICK HERE to register for this one-off training!
Hears to making the hard... EASY!

P.S. Remember, there's more to the the "Thought-Word-Deed: Sanmitsu formular... and more lessons from a teacher than are readily apparent... and that's when you KNOW what to look for. If you're operating under the same views, beliefs, and confusion as everyone else... that makes things even harder! Grab one of these spots before they're all taken, because there is a strict limit so that I can help everyone to the best of my ability: https://onlineninjaacademy.com/sanmitsu-confusion/
