In this email, I want to answer some common questions that have come in about the program I'm about to open the doors on in the next few hours.

The majority were focused on a single general theme, and that is:

What makes this any different from all the other Ninjutsu and self-defense programs already available, or all the Youtube videos that I can already get for nothing?

So let's start there, and let's do it with a question of my own shall we?

Can you think of a situation, attack, or assailant where if you don't take the initiative... if you don't pre-empt their attack... you're done for?

How do you do that without acting like the fool who will run into the bear's cave to poke it's nose, and hope to get back out before he's the animal's next first meal after months of hibernation and it's starving?

Or, since you've been training for awhile and have plenty of techniques under your belt (yes, pun intended)...

...have you ever realized you could catch your partner (or maybe it was an actual fight against a real attacker) with a strike, kick, or other technique...

...AFTER you already missed your opportunity?

These moments may be salvageable in a "soft training" environment, when you can ask for a do-over, or when your partner is helping with your technique... but DISASTEOUS on the street or your home, or wherever your are when that real-world attack comes from an assailant looking to beat, break or kill you or someone you're responsible for protecting!

The point is that backing up into an ichimonji or other defensive posture, and staying in response mode, isn't always the best option.  Sometimes you just know that:

• If he hit's you first, you're done for
• If you stay in "defensive" mode, he'll eventually overrun you, or...
• There's too many of them and you need to use preemptive, intercepting, and direct committed action to interrupt their attack and dominate the situation. 

And... you need to do it in a way that keeps you out of jail, the ER, or the morgue.

THAT'S what this program is about.

It's designed to take you beyond the basic "self-defense technique" or "let's see what happens" street-fighter mentalities, and into the realms of street survival that can be used by:

• the individual concerned about protecting his or her family
• the ninjutsu or other martial artist wanting to make sure their techniques and skills are really "street-ready"
• the police officer who wants to do his job effectively, but safely
• the security professional who needs more than being a "graduate of Thursday's 3pm self-defense class"
• the teacher or medical professional who wants to do their job, but who also understands that some people will resort to violence when things don't go their way...
• ...and others.

I'll have more for you as soon as the information and registration page is finished and up for you to take a look at to see if this is right for you.  Until then, here are the answers to a few other questions that have come in:

• IS THIS A DO-IT-YOURSELF PROGRAM?  It is both an online learning program with weekly video recorded lessons, AND a coaching program where you will have weekly access to me via live dojo classes (Zoom) and coaching tele-classes.  In both cases you will get additional lessons, feedback on your movement and understanding of the lessons... and have the ability to ask questions.

• CAN I SIGN UP FOR THIS AT A LATER DATE? Yes, after our 16-week live training, and after we get things converted over to a "do-it-yourself" format, you will be able to take the program (probably about 5 - 6 months from now if all goes smoothly).  However, in that format you will NOT be able to get access to the bonuses I'm including, the live coaching, or direct access to me.

• CAN I JUST DO THE DIY PART AND NOT THE COACHING?  Unfortunately, the way we have to set this up to maintain the integrity of the program, lessons, and interaction with everyone... this will be a training and coaching program from day 1.  Remember, this program is being done live because it's being built for the the do-it-yourselfers as we go.  That means that those students who are a part of this live program will actually help steer and determine what will be in the end result 4 months from now.
•  
• WILL THERE BE A PAYMENT PLAN FOR THIS?  Absolutely!  I never want money to be the reason someone can't train.  BUT, it does have to be fair on both ends of the arrangement.  Students need to understand that when their teacher takes payments, they are also taking all the risk, because they will be providing lessons ahead of time (as well as service, preparation, and taking on payment processing expenses for each additional installment in the plan), that they may get shorted on if a student decides to not make all of their tuition payments.  What that means is that, YES, there are plans but... they also come at a little bit of an extra cost per payment to cover the extra expenses on our end.
