I don't know when you first started your training in the Ninja's arts via Bujinkan ninpo (budo) taijutsu, but did you know that what everyone knows as the sanshin and kihon happo models were not always taught the way you've probably seen them?

It's true.  Prior to the mid 80's, things were very different, and the kihon happo referred to a principle for expanding the number of your techniques through understanding the principles and concepts taught by the models being used.  AND... the models were often switched out for one another because... (wait for it...)... they weren't the important part of the training!
